7th Grade Science 2008-2009

Welcome to 7^th Grade Science!!

  

This year we will be studying several topics: the scientific method, weather and the atmosphere, simple machines, forces and motion, cells and genetics and systems of the human body.  

 
We will be doing several projects throughout the year as well as smaller weekly laboratory and hands-on activities.  There will also be a few papers to complete and presentations to give to the class.  

 
We will also be talking about new scientific discoveries as well as some of the many scientific careers that are out there.  Through these activities, I hope to share the idea that science is not a bunch of boring facts collected hundreds of years ago, but that it is an ongoing, exciting and changing field.
